Located closely to the Hungarian capital Budapest, Sternberg Kft started assembling instrument kits and the production of their own line of Joseph Sternberg Budaörs wind instruments. A subsidiary company of JA Musik from Markneukirchen, Germany, Sternberg Kft was founded in 2001. Staff was hired and trained in the Markneukirchen production facilities before moving into the brand new factory in Hungary. The new factory is working with state-of-the-art technology for preparing and silver plating musical instruments.
Until World War II the area had a tradition of craftsmanship for making musical instruments. Sternberg will revive this tradition and start educating their own craftsmen in 2003. The photo shows JA Musik president Gerhard A. Meinl, Budaörs' mayor Dr. Wittinghoff and plant manager Zolton Juhasz (right to left) handing over a trumpet for the local music school. |
