Originally launched at Plasa 2005, beyerdynamic will show the Opus 89 dynamic microphone at prolight+sound 2006 in Frankfurt as well as the Opus 86 condenser microphone system and the IMS 900 in-ear monitoring system. In Frankfurt beyerdynamic will also showcase the new dynamic additions to the TG-X series, the vocal mic TG-X 48 and the TG-X 47 which is recommened for applications such as live snare drum and guitar amp.
The Opus 89 dynamic mic provides powerful transparent sound for live-vocal applications, especially for rock and pop singers. Using the rare-earth Neodymium magnet structure of the TG-X 60 it features fast transient response and best feedback rejection. The Opus 89 is highly insensitive to
handling noise; a built-in filter minimises wind and breath 'pop' noise. Rugged construction,
a proven shock-mount system and a steel mesh grille ensure that even with rough handling,
the Opus 89 performs consistently.
