Ergonomically designed handheld transmitter for Opus 900

At prolight + sound show 2008, Frankfurt, beyerdynamic launched the latest addition to its Opus 900 wireless system, the ergonomically designed S 900 P handheld transmitter. The S 900 P features an adjustable input sensitivity (internal 4-level pad: 0 dB, -10 dB, -20dB, and -30 dB), a clear colour-LC display, indicating group/channel and battery status (5-stage), a silent On/Off switch, and an infrared interface for automatic frequency setting. Based on the use of two 1.5 V AA batteries the transmitter convinces with an operating time of more than 20 hours. The S 900 P replaces the S 900 model (both in rugged plastic housings) and is supplied including batteries and a handy touring bag.
The Opus 900 system offers a range of interchangeable microphone capsules, enabling a full range of uses, handling theatre, broadcast, large installations or live concerts. The DM 960 S and B capsules are both fitted with the high performing TG-X 60 dynamic hypercardioid capsule, while the DM 969 S is fitted with the Opus 69 dynamic supercardioid capsule. The EM 981 S has an electret condenser capsule and the CM 930 B features beyerdynamic’s 'true condenser’ capsule TG-X 930 (cardioid).
The Opus 900 system will be exhibited at PLASA 2008, London, stand G11.
