beyerdynamic introduces professional headsets DT 790 and DT 797 at 125th AES

Launched at IBC 2008 in Amsterdam, beyerdynamic's headsets DT 790 and DT 797 will have their US debut at 125th AES convention, San Francisco , booth 838. The professional headsets are designed for demanding broadcast applications where high isolation of ambient noise, durability, and wearing comfort are required.
The headsets combine the closed reference studio headphone DT 770 PRO, a new pivoting gooseneck microphone boom, and first-class microphone capsules. Both models has been especially designed for communications in very noisy environments, delivering highest audio quality and intelligibility. The DT 790 features a dynamic microphone (hypercardioid) which has been developed to be used for communication (camera - control room), while the DT 797 with condenser microphone (cardioid) is designed for commentators in live broadcasting.
The powerful headphone-systems with a frequency response of 5 Hz – 30 kHz, provide a balanced sound characteristic. The sound insulating housing and soft-skin ear pads provide isolation from ambient noise. The microphone boom can be used at left or right side or can be moved into standby (upper) position.
The single-sided cable is availabe with different connectors for all apllications.
