In
February 2000 Swedish manufacturer Clavia started an MP3 competition. The
response was way beyond the company's expectations. They received
124 entries and more than 700 megabytes of MP3 files for the competition!
A wide array of music styles arrived to us; rock, techno, movie score music
and even a lullaby.
1st prize in the Clavia MP3 Competition, a Nord Lead 2 synthesizer, went to Dan Lind of Sweden and 2nd prize, a Nord Micro Modular synthesizer, went to Tommi Lindell of Finland. The tracks are available at Clavia's website.
