The idea is as simple as ingenious: Two beaters on one bassdrum pedal give
the drummer double speed in his kick-drum-foot using the movement and the
energy of the reverse action for a second beat. The Duallist can at any
time during performance be switched between single (beater) and double
modes via on and off switching levers placed left and right of the player`s
heel.
The Duallist allows double-bassdrum playing while the hi-hat may still be controlled in full with the other foot. Furthermore drummers like the improved dynamic control with the Duallist even while playing 16th or advanced triplets. |
