Zickos announces more affordable Phantom series

Zickos, Canadian pioneer of clear drums, has launched the Phantom series in order to make an original Zickos kit more affordable. After getting countless requests for a price break, Zickos decided to offer the Phantom Series. Using rounded die cast lugs that utilize industry-standard tension rods instead of the 1/4" extra heavy duty tension rods and rotors used on the Artistry drums, the shells themselves are exactly the same. All of the shells are made with 1/4" cast acrylic with rounded bearing edges which allow the drums to project better. Triple flanged chrome hoops of heavy duty 2.3mm steel. Initially, except for the purchase of individual snare drums, the Phantom Series drums will be available only as a total package with clear untinted shells. The Model 700 configuration comprises 22"x16" bass drum with spurs, 16"x16" floor tom, 12"x9" rack tom and 10"x8" rack tom with Pearl-type mounts, and a 14"x6" snare drum. Model 770 configuration offers a 22"x18" bass drum with spurs, 16"x14" floor tom, 12"x9" rack tom and 10"x8" rack tom with Pearl-type mounts, and 14"x6" snare drum. Different snare drums and complete hardware are optionally.
