Update to Steinberg's Cubase SX3.0.1 with many additional features

Steinberg Media Technologies announces the availability of the first update to its Cubase SX3 music production system with new features including a new reverb virtual effect processor. "We're very pleased to offer this update to all Cubase SX3 customers," says Arnd Kaiser, Steinberg's Senior Product Manager for Music Technology. "On top of many minor enhancements, Cubase SX3.0.1 includes the RoomWorks reverb that extends both the quality and functional range of the onboard plug-ins."
The studio-grade RoomWorks reverb plug-in is fully surround-capable high-class reverb providing 'rooms and spaces' for just almost any application. Still offering high performance when CPU load for a project is already high, the extensive preset library includes over 60 predefined virtual spaces.
With Cubase SX3.0.1, the MIDI device panels system is now available for editing effect plug-ins in audio channels as well as VST instruments. Any parameters of the objects are instantly accessible not only in the Project Window, but also on the appropriate channel mixer strip and the track inspector through user-defined panels.
SX3.0.1 also expands the concept of automatic plug-in delay compensation by including external effects loops. A new "ping" button can be used to measure the processing delay of external devices and to set the right delay parameter for compensation.
The master output level display on the Cubase SX3.0.1 Transport Bar features an overload indicator, allowing the user to easily check 0 dB output level.
