Masters of the remix, Scott Giaquinta and Jason Blum, the electronica and dance music duo better known as Deepsky, will make an appearance at the Allen&Heath booth at the NAMM Show 2004 on Saturday, January 17, at 5:00 p.m. The duo will be on-hand to demonstrate Allen&Heath's professional DJ mixers, which include the Xone:62 and audiophile Xone:V6 as well as the new Xone:92, which will enjoy its U.S. debut at the NAMM Show.
Allen&Heath's line of professional DJ mixers and the highly anticipated new Xone:92 may be seen at the NAMM Show 2004 on Booth #7019 (Arena, Anaheim Convention Center; January 15-18, 2004). Despite fully embracing digital technology and relying totally on electronic media, Deepsky use analog Allen&Heath mixing consoles and DJ mixers in their studio and on their club dates. Allen&Heath's analog mixers are particularly suited to Deepsky's music, which combines electronic beats and melodies with acoustic instrumentation. The duo's remix of Paul Oakenfold's "Hypnotised" from his "Bunkka" album was recently released on the British superstar DJ's "Great Wall" CD. Deepsky's remix of the Crystal Method's "Born Too Slow" will be the first single release from their "Legion of Bloom" album in early 2004. Meanwhile, Deepsky are working toward completion of their own album, the follow-up to 2002's "In Silico" (Kinetic Records), for early 2004 release. Deepsky's prodigious output also appears on two other full-length albums, numerous compilation and mix CDs, and over 40 twelve-inch singles. Curve, BT, D:Fuse, Delerium, and Carl Cox have all benefited from Deepsky's hallmark production techniques. |
