New oboe series 7000 by W. Schreiber

At Musikmesse 2009 in Frankfurt, Hall 1.1 F22, Schreiber & Keilwerth highlights its return to the oboes under the W.Schreiber brand. The new series 7000 oboes comprises four instruments which come with a five year warranty against cracking.
Since many decades the oboe has been part of the history of the Schreiber & Keilwerth company. Numerous high quality instruments were made for world leading brands, Now there there are once again four oboes available under the Schreiber name. The model range includes a simplified conservatory model 7020, model 7130 with a thumb plate for the English market as well as two conservatory models 7060/7070 semi-automatic and full-automatic. All instruments have a lined bore which is particularly resistant against cracks. All four oboes of the series 7000 are made of high grade granadilla wood with natural surface and feature a modern design. The conservatory models have a third octave key.
The series 7000 oboes are made in Germany and feature a French fingering system and stable nickel-silver key mechanism with heavy silverplating. The intsruments bodies of carefully selected and dried grenadilla wood are highly resistant against moisture and cracking through the special wood treatment and with a casted epoxy resin lining in the bore. All oboes come in a high grade case with extensive accessories.
