At winter NAMM 2002 C.G. Conn showed two additional models to the popular Symphony professional trombones. "The C.G. Conn 88HK-O and the 88HK-CL Symphony trombones have a larger 9" (229mm) rose brass bell with a large throat," said Fred Powell, Brass Product Manager for United Musical Instruments U.S.A., parent company of C.G. Conn. "Many players are finding this new combination to be just what they need for both solo and symphonic applications. It produces a rich sound with greater ease."
Both of these new trombone models have a .547" (13.89mm) bore, .562" (14.27mm) bore through the open wrap F attachment, rose brass outer slides and a lacquer finish. They come with a Conn 5G mouthpiece, a deluxe case and a full warranty.
The 88HK-O comes with a standard rotor while the 88HK-CL features the patented CL2000 Trombone Rotor System.
The new Symphony trombone models, like the previously introduced models, are available with optional slides and removable leadpipes. A bright silver-plated finish is available, as is a tenor trombone gig bag with a shoulder strap.
