Extraordinary Keilwerth saxophones to be launched at Musikmesse 2006

Vintage SX90R tenor saxophone by Keilwerth At the International Musikmesse 2006 in Frankfurt, Germany, saxophone manufacturer Julius Keilwerth unveils several unique new saxophones. On the occasion of the 160th anniversary of Adolphe Sax's patent award, Julius Keilwerth presents the acknowledged series SX90R in an exquisite, new finish. The body is brushed by hand to a matt finish by experienced instrument craftsmen. The glossy keywork is gold lacquered. The soprano SX90II is also available in this finish.
Another highlight at Keilwerth's stand (Hall 6.0 B30) si the new Vintage line by Julius Keilwerth. These special models in the SX90R series (alto and tenor) feature unique vintage looks. The surface of the metal is left in its original state. In combination with the matt nickel plated keywork, the black pads and the Mother of Pearl finger inlays, each instrument shows is absolutely distinctive. The Vintage saxophone models aims at musicians looking for something extraordinary.
Besides saxophones made from brass and nickel silver, Julius Keilwerth now stepped into the production of copper models. The CX 90 Prestige saxophones feature copper bodies and outstanding acoustical qualities, excellent intonation, and a warm, mellow and balanced sound. A special bore in the bow supports these sound attributes.
