LTM introduce Carbon Cub mini hoist system at PLASA 07

Lifting and rigging specialists LTM (Lift Turn Move Ltd) launched several new products at PLASA 07 including the Carbon Cub, a small twin-lifting wire rope hoist for lifting banners and small lighting and PA systems. The Carbon Cub is a compact, portable, ‘plug-and-play’ mini hoist system, suitable for a variety of lifting applications such as theatres, broadcast studios, museums, sporting productions, worship and retail venues. Specially designed to raise and lower lights, scenic elements, projectors or banners, the Carbon Cub features a matt black finish with black lifting cables. It has a travel speed of 4.3 m/ minute and can lift loads up to 125 Kg to a height of 7.5 m. The unit itself weighs only 41Kg and comes complete with self locking helical gears. It has both right and left hand grooved drum winding preventing lateral movement, and there are limit switches and over travel protection. It is supplied with low voltage controls and remote pendant facility as standard and operates on either 400V 3 phase (50Hz) or 230V single phase (50Hz) power supplies. LTM also launched a motor controller with radio controlled remote at the show - giving riggers the complete freedom to roam around a venue and operate the system without the same restrictions imposed by wired versions. The device can be built into direct control or low voltage controlled hoists and will be very useful for situations where you need to move around the room or stage to get into position to see the motors whilst in operation. At PLASA 07 LTM introduced new models to the Guardian range of hoist controllers which are available as rack mounted, movable flight cased units or wall mounted systems for permanent installations.
