Fader wings and servers by Avolites and Avolites Media

Following their successful PLASA London presence, Avolites and Avolites Media took their array of new servers, fader wings, and consoles to LDI 2013 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. At LDI and a few months later at Prolight + Sound show Avolites Media showcased the S Series media servers and Ai V7. The Ai S2, S4 and S6 are Avolites Media's latest server systems that offer 2, 4 and 6 Display Port/DVI outputs. Integral Part of the Ai servers is the hands-on Sapphire Media Controller which was nominated for the first Prolight + Sound International Press Award (PIPA) and eventually won the award in the category Video/Projection Control.
"We're over the moon at being awarded a PIPA at the first ever Prolight + Sound International Press Awards," says Avolites Media MD Steve Warren. "It's been a fantastic couple of years for Avolites Media, and our Ai media servers and control surfaces have enjoyed worldwide success powering some of the biggest events. It's always been an integral part of the Avolites philosophy to give designers an intuitive hands on user interface. This award is the icing on the cake as it is voted for by the global trade press, who have been following the success of Avolites Media since we launched in 2011. We'd like to thank Prolight + Sound and everyone who voted for the Sapphire Media Controller for their support."
Avolites Media's Sapphire Media is an integral element of Avolites Media's Ai media server package, featuring two generous wide screen touch surfaces for easy access to the User Interface and Salvation Engine control. Additionally, 4 switchable and assignable, touch preview monitors are available to the system operator. These preview monitors may be mapped to any inputs, outputs or video layers. The Sapphire Media offers 15 motorised faders for live control, mappable to content triggers, effects or parameters. Also provided is a smooth T-Bar for traditional vision mixing, and direct access buttons, pre-assigned to popular features and functions. All controls may be user configured to produce fully customised functionality.
The server systems also feature the latest third generation PCIexpress motherboards, new series AMD graphics cards and PCIexpress SSD drives. In addition, the Salvation Engine can be configured to provide up to 64 layers of PIP (Picture-in-Picture) with a single server.

Powered by a more powerful processor, faster graphics chip set and the all important Titan Version 7 operating system with free Titan upgrades.
Also unveiled at LDI was the Sapphire Touch Wing, which gives an additional 30 Motorised Faders and a third touch screen. The Sapphire Media Wing enables local video control for the Ai media servers.
Titan Fader Wing enables expansion of every Avolites Titan console, giving programmers direct access to items that they regularly use.
